2025 has been a busy year! Despite some unexpected health hiccups and an unexpected additional diagnosis, 2025 brought two new published books and some cover updates for some old ones.

In January, I published the first book in the Royals Trilogy, The Princess: Tales of Kelnore. Getting to deep dive into the world of Kelnore has been so much fun, and I can’t wait to share the rest of this series with y’all. The Princess also features a heroine who deals with chronic illness, which is something I’ve personally had to grapple with a lot over the last few years. Writing that aspect of Aurelia’s story wasn’t always smooth sailing, but I’m glad I stuck with it because stories like hers matter. In 2025, I also got Book 2 and Book 3 in the series fully drafted, and 2026 is going to definitely be bringing more of that world your way.

In November, I published the next book in my Hooves & Hearts Series, Heart of Hope. Isabel’s story was one that was a bit of a personal for me, as like Isabel, I’ve had to contend with the challenges of being the owner of a horse with complex medical issues. A lot of the inspiration for Kaspar come from my beautiful, quirky, and goofy Haflinger, Aeneas of Deer Haven, and at times, that made the story a bit of a challenge to write, but I’m so glad I stuck with it and that readers have enjoyed it as well. This year, I also started digging into drafting the next book in the series, and while the book is still very much in the early stages right now, I’m looking forward to sharing what’s next for Hooves & Hearts with y’all soon.

And finally, in 2025, a bunch of my print titles got a new look. 2025 marked 5 years of writing in the fantasy world of Pern Coen and I had so much fun bringing some new designs to some old favorites!
As always, a huge thank you to all of my readers for your continued support! It allows me to continue on this writing & publishing journey, which is something I am deeply grateful for. There are more stories in the works for 2026 and beyond, and I’ll be popping back on here in a few weeks to let y’all know more about what’s in store for 2026!
