Enter the world of royalty, shapeshifters, warriors, outlaws, and seers as you get lost in tales full of strong heroines, political intrigue, gripping adventure, a touch of magic, and low spice romance.

A king who’s made a deadly deal with a powerful Dark Spirit to save the life of his son.
An outcast healer who wants nothing more than to be left alone in peace after having her future destroyed and her heart shattered by the man she once called husband.
A loyal warrior who is sent to find a dangerous woman and return her to his king, at any cost.
When Torin is sent to hunt down a powerful healer, his task is fraught with peril. The healer he’s forced to seek out is rumored to have been cursed by Pysgod, one of the Dark Spirits of the island of Pern Coen. But little does Torin know that his king, Geraint, has already made a deadly deal with Pysgod that could destroy the entire clan.
Briallen was once Geraint’s wife, until he betrayed her and forced her to carve out a lonely existence on Ceffyl’s rugged coastline. When a warrior arrives and demands she return to Afton under orders from the king, she refuses, but when that same warrior is attacked by a monster from the deep, she feels duty bound to help him with her gift of healing. But the more time she spends in Torin’s presence, the more she finds herself drawn to him in ways she never imagined. She swore to never risk her heart again, but Torin might change that vow.
As Pysgod continues to strengthen its hold, the clan is plunged further into darkness with an endless winter, barren seas, and failing harvests. Geraint’s fate is already sealed, and his bargain is not one he can easily walk away from. But as Briallen and Torin find themselves face to face with the encroaching darkness, Briallen discovers that she might have power to put an end to it. Will Psygod be driven out of the clan, or will Geraint’s bargain cost him not only his soul, but the very lives of the people of Ceffyl as well?
Popping into the blog today to share my publishing goals for 2026 with y’all. This year, I’ll once again be splitting my time between epic fantasy stories and equestrian women’s stories and my goal is to get at least one full-length novel released in 2026.
Late last month, I sent the next book in the Royals Trilogy off for its first round of professional edits, hitting my goal of having the manuscript drafted and self-edited by December 31st. I’ve really been enjoying digging back into the world of Kelnore and I’m looking forward to my editor’s feedback. As of right now, The Deceiver: Tales of Kelnore is currently set to release in June 2026. I’ll have more information about retailer pre-orders and print pre-orders as the story gets further along on the editing process. I also have the third book in the series fully drafted and I’m hoping to get the third and final book in the series released by the end of 2026. As always, I’ll keep y’all posted on the publishing process. I do have at least one semi-major medical procedure I know I have to get done this year, and while I’m hoping that won’t take too much time away from my writing, I’ll have to see just how extensive the procedure ends up being. The cover for the third and final book in the series is complete, and I will definitely be doing a cover reveal in 2026 after the release of The Deceiver.
As of last month, I have started drafting the manuscript for the next book in the Hooves & Hearts Series. As I’m still drafting this book, I’m aiming for a 2027 release, but I have the cover complete and next month, I’ll be revealing the title, with a cover reveal to come later in 2026. I can give y’all a little bit of a hint in that this book will involve some new characters, but also some returning characters as well- in particular, the O’Sheen brothers. As I get further along in the writing process, I’ll be passing on more updates. The story has been a lot of fun so far, and I’m loving being able to bring y’all more stories in this world.
As always, there will be plenty of sales and deals all month long, both at all retailers and exclusive to my online bookstore. As always, thank you so much for your support, I couldn’t do this publishing thing without my amazing readers!
2025 has been a busy year at Serenity Star Press, and I am so grateful for the support of all of my readers! This past year brought newly published books, new books drafted, and some fun cover facelifts for some older titles.
Early this year, I kicked off a new fantasy trilogy with the publication of The Princess: Tales of Pern Coen. I have had SO much fun working on this series and cannot wait to bring the rest of the story to y’all. It’s been a challenge to write, with a complex plot and lots of characters, but challenges aside, it’s just the kind of epic fantasy with a dash of romance that I love sinking my teeth into. This year I also drafted the manuscripts for both Book 2 and Book 3 in the series, and have gotten Book 2 ready for its first round of professional edits.
This year also brought some “facelifts” to some well-loved backlist titles in the Tales of Pern Coen and Legends of Pern Coen, including a new look for my paperback and hardcover editions. It’s been so fun to see y’all loving these new looks as much as I have!
On the women’s fiction front, 2025 brought a new book to the Hooves & Hearts Series with the release of Heart of Hope. Isabel and Derrick’s story was another tough one at times, but I love the end result and I know so many of my fellow horse girls have really been loving this one too! There are more books planned for Hooves & Hearts, and I have started drafting the manuscript for the next book in the series. I’ll be sharing more about that as we get into 2026, but I think y’all are going to have a lot of fun with this next story too.
Due to some health and personal things, my reading was a little light this year, but I still was able to enjoy over 30 books. Some of my favorites have been the Jack & Ivy Duology (J’nell Ciesielski),The Wolf Queen (Marie McCurdy), The Ice Swan (J’nell Ciesielski), Savage City (L. Penelope), All The Right Things (Linda Shantz), American Daughters (Piper Huguley), Tears Of The Wolf (Elisabeth Wheatley), and Vampires Of El Norte (Isabel Canas), just to name a few. If you want to see the full list of books I’ve read and enjoyed this year, just click on the link below.
