2025 has been a busy year at Serenity Star Press, and I am so grateful for the support of all of my readers! This past year brought newly published books, new books drafted, and some fun cover facelifts for some older titles.

Early this year, I kicked off a new fantasy trilogy with the publication of The Princess: Tales of Pern Coen. I have had SO much fun working on this series and cannot wait to bring the rest of the story to y’all. It’s been a challenge to write, with a complex plot and lots of characters, but challenges aside, it’s just the kind of epic fantasy with a dash of romance that I love sinking my teeth into. This year I also drafted the manuscripts for both Book 2 and Book 3 in the series, and have gotten Book 2 ready for its first round of professional edits.

This year also brought some “facelifts” to some well-loved backlist titles in the Tales of Pern Coen and Legends of Pern Coen, including a new look for my paperback and hardcover editions. It’s been so fun to see y’all loving these new looks as much as I have!

On the women’s fiction front, 2025 brought a new book to the Hooves & Hearts Series with the release of Heart of Hope. Isabel and Derrick’s story was another tough one at times, but I love the end result and I know so many of my fellow horse girls have really been loving this one too! There are more books planned for Hooves & Hearts, and I have started drafting the manuscript for the next book in the series. I’ll be sharing more about that as we get into 2026, but I think y’all are going to have a lot of fun with this next story too.

Due to some health and personal things, my reading was a little light this year, but I still was able to enjoy over 30 books. Some of my favorites have been the Jack & Ivy Duology (J’nell Ciesielski), The Wolf Queen (Marie McCurdy), The Ice Swan (J’nell Ciesielski), Savage City (L. Penelope), All The Right Things (Linda Shantz), American Daughters (Piper Huguley), Tears Of The Wolf (Elisabeth Wheatley), and Vampires Of El Norte (Isabel Canas), just to name a few.
