Seer of Sevenwaters by Juliet Marillier

Series: Sevenwaters Book 5 (Can be read as a standalone)
Genre: Historical Fantasy

Why I enjoyed this book: Juliet Marillier creates an engaging, atmospheric setting in ancient Ireland. I love this whole series and this book was no exception. The romance thread is perfectly interwoven alongside a otherworldly mystery that is certain to keep you turning the pages!

Prior to making her final pledge as a druid, the young seer Sibeal visits the island of Inis Eala, where the Sight leads her to Felix, a survivor of a Norse shipwreck who has no memory of his past. As the island’s healers struggle to keep Felix alive, he and Sibeal form a natural bond. But Sibeal’s vocation is her true calling, and she must choose between the two things that tug at her soul-her spirituality and a chance at love…

Destiny’s Captive by Beverly Jenkins

Series: Destiny Trilogy Book 3 (Can be read as a standalone)
Genre: Historical Romance
Romance Content: Steamy

Why I enjoyed this book: First off, the cover on this book is stunning! And if you’re look for a steamy summer read, this is the book for you. With pirates, sword wheeling heroines, and an enemies to lovers romance with all the tension, this book is such a fun one to dive into.

In national bestselling author Beverly Jenkins’ Destiny series, the Yates men play hard and live hard. And when they find that special woman, they fall hard . . .

Noah Yates fully believes in the joys of a happy family and a good wife. But that’s not the life for him. No, he would much rather sail the wild seas in search of adventure, not tied down. But then the unthinkable happens . . . he finds himself literally tied down. To a bed. By a woman.

And Pilar isn’t just an ordinary woman. She’s descended from pirates. And after giving him one of the worst nights of his life, she steals his ship! Now Noah is on the hunt, and he’ll stop at nothing to find this extraordinary woman . . . and make her his.

A Star To Steer Her By by Beth Anne Miller

Genre: New Adult Contemporary Romance
Romance Content: Steamy

Why I enjoyed this book: The romantic tension in this book was so, so good! Combine that with the stunning yacht setting and an incredible story of the heroine’s personal growth, and this was a book I could not put down.

I’m scarred. Broken.

I’ll never be the same.

Ever since my last dive ended in bloodshed, I’ve been terrified to go back into the water. But I need to get my life back. And I’ve convinced myself a semester at sea is the only way to do it.

I never expected Tristan MacDougall.

Rugged, strong, and with demons of his own, Tristan helps me find the courage I thought I had lost and heals me with every stolen moment we share…even though the rules of the ship mean we can’t be together.

But that’s the least of our problems, because my biggest fear has become a reality, and I’m not sure either one of us will survive.
